Children's Ministry We offer Sunday School for little kids on Sundays. Classes are interactive and usually include hands-on activities and singing to go along with the Bible Stories. Several times throughout the year we have our children sing special songs during the worship service. Each year, Gracepoint also hosts a Kids' Camp (Vacation Bible School) in June. We invite families from our whole community to be a part of this fun-filled week of games, crafts, music, and the message of God's love. Woman's Ministry | Youth Ministry On the first, second, and third Sunday morning of each month, the Junior and Senior High Youth meet together (6th through 12th grade) for Bible Study directly following worship. There is lots of discussion and student participation. This class is structured around topics the youth want to study. We are currently studying the books of the Minor Prophets. When that study is complete, we will transition into a study called "Smart Stuff." Smart Stuff is a study of the book of Proverbs which reminds us that God really does know what He is talking about. Youth Group activities currently happen throughout the year - suggestions for activities are always welcome. Some past youth group activities have included: Overnight camping in Madera Canyon, a Scavenger Hunt, participation in Youth Quake, and neighborhood Christmas Caroling. THE LCMS holds a National Youth Gathering every three years. Gracepoint youth participated in the last one, which was held in New Orleans, Louisiana. The coming event will take place July 1-5, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. Gracepoint plans to again take a gorup of youth to this event. The theme will be Live Love(d) based on 1 John 4:9. University of Arizona Campus Ministry Gracepoint is a sponsor of the University of Arizona Campus Ministry, a place where college-aged students are fed on the word, fellowship, and potluck meals. |
